Sleep Over

So I took the girls to a birthday party/sleepover this weekend.

They weren't sure they wanted to do the sleepover part, so I brought along their overnight bags "just incase".

Ofcourse, after a couple of hours at the party and some convincing by the other girls, they decided to stay overnight. I was a little nervous so I left them my cell phone so they could call me at any moment (which they did atleast 5 times!)........ It was funny to see some of the pictures they took with my phone:

(is that MY daughter on the left?? That's some serious 'tude!)

Monster Mash 2011

The girls competed in the yearly "Monster Mash" ice skating competition this weekend.

Here they are waiting to take the ice!

The girls did great; Mia got 2nd place in both of their categories and Olivia took 3rd in both of their categories.

Halloween Around the House

I can't believe it's time for Halloween again!

Here are some shots of Halloween around my house. I really only decorate the kitchen and entryway, so here is the kitchen first:

I hung pictures from all of the girls prior Halloween costumes up from a ribbon; I love looking at them ~

Easy Pumpkins

I saw these pumpkins and thought they lookd cute and easy to do.

I like decorating for Halloween and always put pumpkins outside too soon and they get all rotten :0

EEK!

So...... fake pumpkins are the way to go this year (for now):

Now I just need to fill the urn with some moss and flowers!

Halloween Costumes

I have lucked out the past couple of years with Halloween costumes. One of my girls picks something inexpensive and the other goes all out!

This year is proving to be the same. Mia picked a $15 witch costume from JoAnne's:

And Olivia wants an Alice in Wonderland costume from the Disney Store:

Alice Costume for Girls

The Disney Store already has their costumes 25% off so it must be getting close to HaLlOwEeN!!!

Halloween Wreaths

Last year I made these Halloween wreaths for the front door out of a vine wreath and some dollar store stuff:

The signs that were in the middle of the wreaths were made of styrofoam and weren't in good condition to reuse this year. So I went back to the dollar store for something else.

I found mini "head stones" and used those instead. I kept the same wreath (spray painted silver):

I also added some black flowers - also from the Dollar Store and hung it up!

I made 2 of them and now I see the ribbons going across them are not symetrical!! That will drive me crazy ~ must fix:) But you get the idea......

That sad pumpkin down there got a makeover too...... i'll post that soon!
